Straightening Smiles With Invisalign: A Parent’s Guide
As parents, we desire our children to have straighter and more beautiful smiles. For that, Invisalign is the best solution. Invisalign is a modern and discreet teeth alignment treatment that utilizes clear plastic trays to shift teeth gently into the proper position.
The process begins with a consultation to determine if Invisalign is the best treatment for your dental needs. Afterward, wear each custom tray for two weeks before transitioning to the next tray in the series.

Over time, the trays move teeth gradually into the desired alignment. Invisalign is much more comfortable in comparison to traditional braces because there are no wires and brackets to irritate your mouth.
Plus, the clear trays are virtually undetectable, making this a popular choice for teens and adults.

The process for Invisalign treatment for your kids is pretty straightforward. The first step is scheduling a consultation with a pediatric dentist specializing in Invisalign treatment.
During the consultation, your dentist will assess your child’s dental situation to determine if they are a suitable candidate for Invisalign.
If eligible, digital impressions of your child’s teeth will be taken using a scanner to create a personalized treatment plan.
From there, your child will begin wearing their Invisalign aligners. With Invisalign, straightening your child’s teeth is discreet, comfortable, and effective. Parents can rest easy knowing their child’s smile is in good hands.

Tips for maintaining your straightened smile after treatment
1- Wear the Invisalign trays
It is vital to wear the trays as directed by your orthodontist. The retainer helps hold the teeth in their new position and prevents them from returning to their original position.
We recommend wearing the retainer for 20-22 hours daily in the initial six months after completing treatment. Afterward, it can be worn at night or when brushing is impractical.
2- Avoid hard foods
Hard foods can damage the aligners and cause them to become loose. It is essential to avoid hard foods, such as candy, nuts, and popcorn. Soft foods, such as cooked vegetables and fruits, are a better option.
3- Brush and floss regularly
Brushing and flossing your teeth regularly to maintain good oral hygiene is essential. We typically recommend brushing twice a day and flossing once a day.
Using a toothbrush with soft bristles and toothpaste that does not contain fluoride is also important. As fluoride can cause tooth damage.
