Dr. Lisa Chinn

Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Lisa is originally from Fredericksburg, VA. She completed her Bachelor’s of Science in Education from the University of Virginia in 2001 and then earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree with Distinction from the University of Kentucky. While in dental school she was actively involved in the new student selection committee, Saturday morning pediatric clinics, and invited into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental Society. In 2007 Dr. Lisa completed a pediatric dental residency program at the University of Kentucky. This residency emphasized treating children with special needs, the pharmacological management of children, and how to manage their developing dentition. Dr. Lisa also had the opportunity to travel to Tiquisate, Guatemala on a mission trip to provide dental services to the underserved.
Professional Background

After completing her residency Dr. Lisa moved to Phoenix, AZ and began working in a large group practice where she focused on the needs of the young pediatric patient. Dr. Lisa is now proudly working at Palm Valley Pediatric Dentistry in the west valley locations. She focuses on preventative care to help children develop a healthy smile to last a lifetime.

Personal Background
While away from the office, Dr. Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband Jason, daughter Kenzie, son Maxwell, their dog – Fonzie and bunny – Star. Her family loves hiking, traveling, sports and movies.
Continued Advancements 

Dr. Lisa is a board- certified pediatric dentist holding Diplomate status in the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She attends continuing education courses to stay current. She has attended classes such as the AAPD – Safe and Effective Sedation for the Pediatric Dental Patient, the AAPD Comprehensive Review, NuSmile Tech Workshop on zirconium crowns, and UT Health Dental Laser Proficiency. Dr.Lisa also holds her PALS and ACLS certifications.

Making Patients Comfortable
Dr Lisa strives to provide a calm and positive experience at the dentist. She believes in taking her time talking to the patient and parents to alleviate concerns or fears.
